In October 2006 The Povolzhskaya State Academy of Telecommunication and Informatics celebrated its 50th anniversary.
During the past 50 years the Academy has certified more than 35 000 highly qualified specialists in the field of communication and information technologies. Within 50 years new buildings have been built, the laboratories have improved, a lot of thesis have been defended and dynasties of professors and students have appeared. The only thing that has not changed – just as it used to be 50 years ago, specialists graduating from the Academy, are in great demand in the telecommunication sector.

The state educational institution of high professional education- “ The Povolzhskaya State Academy of Telecommunication and Informatics ” is one of the most well known technical schools in Russia. High qualification of teachers and scientists, new methods of teaching give the opportunity to train specialists who satisfy the needs of developing info- communication field.

We are proud of our Academy, its scientists, teachers and graduates! We are also proud of our history and we are sure of Academy's dynamic development in the nearest future.
